Maria Black Jewellery
Simply, where there is a new way, we'll check it out.
While sourcing our materials, we are committed to being accountable, conscious, and open. We will approach our sourcing from multiple angles - this approach we call impact sourcing.
We are committed to ensure social and environmental focus throughout our production chain.
People and landscapes involved in our business is also our business. We will be working only with partners that ensure decent working standards, safe and clean work practices, and stewardship to the earth.
We are committed to being accountable for the materials we use.
Whether it is Fairtrade mined, recycled or lab-grown, all possible information (or the lack of information thereof) about our jewellery is public. We are in the process of switching towards more resources with traceable background information, and gradually we will be clarifying the origins of all our resources.
Exploring different, novel means for acquiring our resources can lead us towards new grounds for how we think of jewelry and take part in innovating our industry
We are committed to manage waste better.
Recycling materials is important, not only for managing waste but also for extending lifecycles of materials and diminishing dependency on newly mined materials. However, to avoid materials which do not align with our values, we need strict monitoring as to traceability with the recycled materials.
We are committed to exploring new resources.
Exploring different, novel means for acquiring our resources can lead us towards new grounds for how we think of jewellery and take part in innovating our industry. This is possible for mined, lab-grown or recycled materials, and how they are crafted. Simply, where there is a new way, we'll check it out.
“My design philosophy is to constantly evolve, and the pieces I create must prove their rightful place in this madness.”
