THE 2026 DANISH BREAST CANCER RIBBON

The 2026 Danish Breast Cancer Ribbon has been designed by Maria Black in collaboration with Støt Brysterne, the Danish Breast Cancer Society's fundraising campaign. 

Inspired by the iconic pink ribbon, the design features a modern take on the classic symbol. The front showcases the signature pink colour, while darker contrasting tones on the back are revealed through the folds and delicate stitching along the edges. 

For Maria Black, the cause is deeply personal. Her mother, grandmother, stepmother and several close friends have all been affected by breast cancer. Designing the 2026 Breast Cancer Ribbon was therefore a particularly meaningful project for her.

For me, it's about the fact that there are always two sides to a story. What we see from the outside, and what isn't visible.

The design draws attention to what we see from the outside and what isn't always visible - to the people close to us, and to the community that helps make an invisible disease visible in our everyday lives. 

The 2026 Danish Breast Cancer Ribbon costs DKK 39, with all proceeds going towards Støt Brysterne's work in research, prevention, and support for patiens and their loved ones.
